PfefferminzGreen is a small, non-profit organization based in Frankfurt, Germany that engages in close partnerships with local NGOs in Sub-Saharan Africa, thereby supporting foremost social projects that fight poverty and unemployment. The emphasis on ‘local’ is extremely important to us as we don’t believe that our Western approaches are capable of taking root in Africa. Rather we believe in a bottom-up approach: Straightforward and small projects that are planned and implemented by local communities have better potential to succeed and prosper than vast concepts that are imposed and realized from the outside. Projects that are financially supported by PfefferminzGreen ALWAYS stem from the communities. From the process of planning to the actual realization of a concept, the motivation and commitment of those is utilized and elevated that did not have the possibility to yet alter their lives themselves. We consistently team-up with registered, local organizations and maintain close contact to both the persons in charge as well as the communities. 100 % of the donations made to PfefferminzGreen go directly to the projects, nothing is spend on administrative or travel expenses.
